Exhibitions, Sports Tournaments, Pop concerts, Tennis Championships – These are just a few of the exciting events that happen throughout the year in the Algarve.
Annual Local Festivals usually fall around the same date, so it is exciting to know that an event is coming up, and you can plan your visit around this.
The Portuguese love to celebrate and have many festivals ranging from religious to the celebration of sardines and seafood or the pine trees or the harvests of figs and almonds.
There are some International Sports events like the Portuguese Open Golf Championship, which has been held at Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago in the past or The Grand Champions Tennis Tournament held every August in Vale do Lobo.
