The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is a 4.692 km (2.915 mi) race circuit located in Portimao, Portugal. With a total cost of €195 million (approximately $250 million), the project includes a karting track, technology park, five-star hotel, sports complex and apartments.

The circuit opened in November 2008 with the worldcup superbikes just 2 days after the construction was finished and the circuit licensed. The circuit celebrates its first year of existence and with over 500.000 visitors it is a big success.

As motor sport is the key component of the project, it has been overseen since the beginning by the world governing bodies, the FIA and the FIM. The plans for the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve were approved by the FIA for Formula 1 and by the FIM for SuperBikes.

The total capacity of the circuit is 100,000 spectators, with 15,000 seats in the main stand and the remaining seats in other stands, and standing room in areas around the track. From all positions the circuit offers a good overview for the spectators to enjoy a day at the races.

There are private boxes in the grand stand and above the pit lane, in the middle of the circuit is the VIP tower which has a range of services such as catering.

EVENTS:

Many of the big events are broadcast worldwide on more than 80 television channels reaching more than 2 billion viewers, thus ensuring unparalleled publicity for the Algarve and for Portugal.

The circuit is located inland from Portimao and from the A22 motorway there is a direct access road to the circuit. Facilities like golf, beach and the cities of Portimao/Lagos are now within10-15 minutes reach, Faro airport is a mere 35 minute drive.

Besides the circuit there will be a business park, karting facilities and sports facilities making it an all year round project.

The apartments

The apartments we have for sale are located behind the circuit and will be managed by the Radisson SAS hotel group. Due to the location and the multi use set up of the circuit and high profile events a high occupancy rate will be achievable. The apartments are launched with a special introduction price and package for the investors looking to enjoy lifestyle.

Currently under construction are 160 luxury tourist apartments of different types (with one, two, three and three "two-story" bedrooms), integrated within the tourist complex and managed by the Radisson Hotels & Resorts.

The facilities
